The Experience

A visit to Materuni Village and Waterfalls is a perfect way to enjoy a peaceful escape from the busy town atmosphere. The walk to the waterfall provides a wonderful introduction to Tanzania's natural beauty, and it is also ideal either for preparing your body before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or for relaxing your muscles after a climb. The tour begins with a guided walk through scenic surroundings near the waterfall, offering beautiful views of the lush landscape.

Daily Expedition Schedule

Along the way, you will see local farms growing fruits such as avocados, bananas, mangoes, and lemons, while also learning about the history, traditions, agriculture, and daily life of the village. The experience continues with a visit to a local coffee plantation, where villagers demonstrate traditional coffee production from bean to cup. You will also enjoy cultural interaction with the Chagga people, including singing, dancing, and participating in the roasting and grinding process. The tour concludes with a traditional Chagga meal served by the villagers. Trip Highlights: - Hike through the lush rainforest to the stunning Materuni Waterfall. - Enjoy swimming in the natural pool and capture beautiful photography moments. - Visit a local coffee farm and discover traditional coffee cultivation methods. - Experience the process of coffee making from bean to cup, followed by a tasting of freshly brewed Tanzanian coffee. - A perfect day trip combining adventure, nature, and rich local culture in one unforgettable experience.
