Starting from Arusha or Moshi, you will drive to the trailhead at Marangu Gate, the entry point of the famous Marangu Route. After registration and briefing, you begin a guided hike through lush rainforest filled with towering trees, monkeys, and diverse birdlife.

Daily Expedition Schedule

The trek continues along well-maintained trails leading toward Mandara Hut, where you can explore a nearby volcanic crater (Maundi Crater) and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape on clear days. After a relaxing break and packed lunch, you will descend back through the rainforest to Marangu Gate, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Moshi.
